David Menascé, Managing Partner
David Menasce is the founding managing partner of Archipel&Co. David is a recognized expert in the field of “social and inclusive business” and base of the pyramid strategies, both for companies and social entrepreneurs, working for many European companies to design new business models to reach low-income consumers in developed and and emerging countries. David teaches social innovation at HEC and Sciences Po. is the academic director of the “Innovation and social business” at the executive MBA at HEC. He has published articles in many international journals and think tanks (Harvard Business Review, Revue Française de Gestion, Institut de l’Entreprise, Fondation Jean Jaures, etc). David graduated from HEC and Sciences Po in Paris.
Mickaël Clément, Partner
Mickaël is specialized in stakeholder engagement and sustainability. He works both with corporate level and operations level. Prior to creating Archipel&Co, he worked as consultant for several international consulting firms on issue management and CSR in a wide range of sectors (energy, mining, chemistry, timber industry…). He also ran humanitarian field missions in Africa and Afghanistan with international NGOs. With an academic background in sociology, Mickaël has a Master degree in Risk and Crisis Management, worked with ENA’s Postgraduate European Studies Cycle, and teaches a course on Societal Risk Management at HEC Paris. He is member of the Alliance for Water Stewardship Technical Committee.
Jean-Marc Guesne, Partner
Jean-Marc has been a social entrepreneur for 7 years in Asia. He created 2 companies in the agribusiness sector and more than 1.000 jobs in Cambodia and China. Following his time in Asia, he joined the Bel Group for 4 years as an intrapreneur and developed an innovative distribution business model, named « Sharing Cities ». Sharing cities connected 6.000 street vendors in emerging markets with FMCG brands while offering them social tailormade services (micro-insurance, capacity building training, financial and health services). He was appointed head of the NGO Ashoka France for 3 years, the first international network of social innovators. Jean-Marc is a telecom engineer. He graduated from HEC Paris where he also teaches social innovation.
Manoj Kumar, Partner India
Manoj Kumar is the Head of the Naandi Foundation, a pioneer organisation in social business and social entrepreneurship in India. He coordinates all activities of the Foundation, and collaborates with many companies, such as Mahindra Group, Danone, Firmenich, Capgemini, GAIN and SONG investment fund. He is also Fellow of the Aspen Institute and member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
Margault Phelip, Manager - Impact Studio
Margault is a social entrepreneur and joined Archipel&Co in 2018 to develop our Impact Studio, dedicated to the launch and scale-up of innovative and ambitious ventures with our clients. Before joining Archipel&Co, she co-founded and managed two leading social businesses fighting digital divide in France: Emmaüs Connect and WetechCare. Emmaüs Connect, created in 2013, supports disadvantaged people (migrants, unemployed, working poors, etc.) in their digital inclusion through partnerships with major companies, public services and Social sector. WetechCare designs and manages web services to support digital inclusion on a BtoB perspective. Before, Margault also worked for the BCG and supported several companies’ BOP strategies in France and India. Notably, she worked on affordable housing issues in Indian slums. Margault graduated from HEC Paris.
Justin DeKoszmovszky, Partner UK
Justin has over 20 years’ experience innovating and delivering social and commercial impact across start-up social enterprises to multinational corporations. Justin has headed sustainability strategy at SC Johnson, PUMA and OVO Energy, leading inclusive and circular business model innovation, shaping internal “cultures of responsibility” and integrating sustainability into core products, partnerships and value chains. In 2017, Justin joined Archipel&Co as a partner and leads Archipel&Co UK office. Justin is a co-founder and non-executive director of INBONIS, a Senior Associate of the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership, and a Global Catalyst for the League of Intrapreneurs. Justin holds BS and MBA degrees from Cornell University.
Mathilde Martin Moreau, Manager
Mathilde joined Archipel&Co as a consultant in 2013. Within Archipel&Co, she has been in charge of designing BOP strategies targeting low-income consumers, from feasibility study to pilot implementation. She has been working with clients from different sectors (energy, FMCG, insurance, etc.). Over the years, she has developed a strong interest in the understanding of the informal sector in emerging and developed markets and notably the bridges to build between informal actors and both the private and public sectors. Mathilde graduated from Sciences-Po Paris where she now teaches at the School of International Affairs (Master) on social innovation, BoP & CSR.
Maureen Ravily, Manager
Maureen joined Archipel&Co as a consultant in 2011 and is now manager and partner. She is in charge of designing and implementing social innovation strategies with companies in France and emerging countries. Specifically, Maureen has built a strong expertise in bridging the gap between companies and micro-entrepreneurs from the informal sector, through the design and implementation of loyalty plans based upon social incentives. Now, Maureen is in charge of developing Community Voices(c), an innovative qualitative & quantitative market research methodology dedicated at understanding low-income consumers. Maureen graduated from HEC and Sciences Po Paris.
Stéphanie Senlis, Manager
Stephanie has nearly 10 years’ experience in advisory and project management with missions aiming at integrating CSR into corporate strategy for large companies, at Utopies, consultancy specialized in CSR, and at EY, Clean Tech and Sustainability department. She has a strong interest for topics related to social business and innovative solutions to fight against poverty, having worked for 2 years for Emmaüs Défi (back-to-work organization). Stephanie graduated with a Master’s in International Affairs from Sciences Po Paris and a Master’s of science in Sustainability and Social Innovation from HEC.
Laura Arribas, Consultant
Laura joined Archipel&Co in 2018. She has 10 years’ experience managing external and internal transformation projects, especially in the telecommunications sector. She holds an MBA with distinction from Imperial College Business School in London, including the Social & Inclusive Business summer school programme at HEC. Laura has an MSc in Engineering from the University of the Basque Country in Spain.
Omar Amara, Consultant
Omar joined Archipel&Co in 2018. Previously, Omar developed experience in working with local authorities and other stakeholders to design and implement municipal youth policies notably in community centers. At Archipel&Co, Omar has been working on consumer insight and market research particularly in India, and on the implementation of pilot projects in France. Omar graduated from Science Po Paris with an MSC in History.
Martin-Auguste Bossut, Consultant
Martin-Auguste joined Archipel&Co in 2017 after an experience as a Portfolio Analyst in microfinance for the U.S based crowdfunding platform Kiva (NGO). Martin-Auguste graduated from EDHEC Business School with a Msc in Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management. All along his track at EDHEC, Martin-Auguste has had several experiences in different social enterprises in France and abroad.
Violette Carton, Consultant
Violette joined Archipel&Co in 2018. Prior to that, she worked in a back-to-work organization on a program integrating health, housing and job support in Paris. She also worked in NGOs supporting refugees in France and Latina America. At Archipel&Co, she has been working on market research, consumer insights studies in developing countries and pilot projects on social inclusion in France. Violette is currently studying in Sciences Po Paris in the Public Policy Msc, Social Policy and Social Innovation stream.
Atrayee Das-Chaudhuri, Consultant
Atrayee joined Archipel&Co in 2018, where she is in charge of developing Archipel&Co activities in India. She has previously worked in development consulting companies and managed several social inclusion and poverty reduction projects funded by multilateral agencies and donor organizations such as the World Bank, ADB and the like. Atrayee holds a Masters in Development Studies from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, India.
Corentin Gariel, Consultant
Corentin joined Archipel&Co in 2019. From 2016 to 2018, Corentin worked as an intrapreneur for Veolia, the worldwide leader of environmental services. Through this experience, he spent two years in Ivory Coast to develop an innovative business for plastic waste collection and recycling in collaboration with the informal sector. At Archipel&Co, Corentin works mainly on operational projects and is involved in the development of the Impact Studio. Corentin graduated from Sciences Po Grenoble with a MSc in Corporate & Business Management.
Vinod Saresh Ghule, Consultant
Constance Huttois, Consultant
Constance joined Archipel&Co in 2017. Constance works both with corporate level and operations level and is specialized in stakeholder engagement and sustainability. She is in charge of supporting companies in the definition and implementation of their strategy regarding community relations and water stewardship. She graduated from Sciences Po Paris in 2016 and has a master's degree in Business Law and Global Governance studies. Constance has had various experiences in top law firms and in associations focusing on refugee help and environmental issues.
Raj Narayan Iyer, Manager India
is Director of Mahindra Pride School (MPS), a training program for underprivileged youngsters implemented by Naandi Foundation, that initially launched the Community Voices methodology. Raj has an engineering degree and holds a Post Graduate diploma in Management from IIM Calcutta.
Michelle Kamp, Consultant
Before joining Archipel&Co, Michelle worked in strategic marketing followed by management consulting in South Africa. She assisted in the development of business growth strategies and provided transaction support to private equity funds operating across Africa. She has experience across multiple sectors, including FMCG, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, transport and insurance. She is interested in the development of sustainable growth and inclusion strategies in both the public and private sectors of emerging markets. Michelle has a Masters degree from the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa and a Certificate in Social Business from HEC Paris.
Arouna Kouassi, Consultant
Arouna is project manager and has been working with Archipel&Co since 2012. Based in Abidjan, he coordinates qualitative and quantitative studies conducted by Archipel&Co in Ivory Coast. Arouna also works on the implementation of alternative and inclusive distribution strategies based on informal street vendors and of pilot projects on access to solar energy.
Pauline Lebas, Consultant
Pauline joined Archipel&Co as a consultant in 2017. Previously she worked as an impact measurement consultant in South East Asia and Africa and conducted a research project about entrepreneurship in Senegal. At Archipel&Co Pauline is especially working on inclusive business projects in emerging countries. She conducted several projects focusing on distribution and access to essential services in slums in India, Kenya and Ivory Coast. Pauline graduated from the Master Sustainability and Social Innovation and the Social Business certificate of HEC Paris.
Luc Mandula, Consultant
Luc joined Archipel&Co in 2018. Priori to this, he worked in Bangladesh, with the Rural Reconstruction Foundation in Bangladesh in various development programs, and in Vietnam, for the country’s first bread factory, overseeing financial forecasts. Luc graduated from the ESADE business school with a Master in International Management and from the University of Montreal and HEC Montreal with a Bachelor in Political Science and International Trade.
Philippe Muheim, Consultant
Philippe has 15 years of experience in consulting in industrialized and developing countries. He has specific expertise on designing and implementing sustainable development strategies, focusing particularly on local economic development, management of natural and man-made resources in rural areas, and engagement of internal and external stakeholders. Philippe has worked for multinational corporations and for national/local authorities. He has an MSc in agricultural engineering and rural economy and an MBA from INSEAD.
Louise Renaudin, Consultant
Louise joined Archipel&Co in 2018 as a consultant. Beforehand, she had spent 4 years in a Paris-based consulting agency specialized in CSR, Community Involvement and Social Impact. She has gained experience in supporting organizations – companies, foundations and associations – to implement innovative strategies and deploying impactful projects, both in France and at an international level. During these years, Louise also contributed to the debate on a new legal status for companies willing to entrench their social purpose. Louise graduated from HEC Paris with an MSc in International Business and a Certificate in Social Business.
Tatiana Thieme, External consultant
After a PhD on waste and urban sanitation economies in Nairobi slums, Tatiana is now teaching at the University of Cambridge on informal markets and economy. Tatiana has been involved in a series of projects linking low-income entrepreneurs with social business ventures in Kenya, India, Philippines, and South Africa. Thanks to her expertise in geography and anthropology, she actively participated in the creation of the “BoP protocol” methodological framework. Tatiana graduated from Cambridge University, LSE and Cornell University.
