Mickaël Clément, Co-founder and Managing Partner
Mickaël is specialized in societal risk management and community relations. He has worked as a consultant for several international consulting firms on risk and sensitive issue management in a wide range of sectors (energy, mining, chemistry and consumer goods). Prior to his joining Azao, he ran humanitarian field missions in Africa and Afghanistan with international NGOs. With an academic background in sociology, Mickaël has a degree in Risk and Crisis Management, worked with ENA’s Postgraduate European Studies Cycle, and teaches a course on Societal Risk Management at HEC Paris.
David Menascé, Co-founder and Managing Partner
David is an expert on social innovation and "Bottom of the Pyramid" accessibility strategies. He worked in several international consulting firms as a consultant on CSR issues. He also founded “L’Observatoire du BoP”, a research and monitoring unit on “Bottom of the Pyramid’ initiatives and strategies worldwide. He is a full-time professor at HEC in the framework of the “Social Business Enterprise and Poverty” Chair. Furthermore, he runs the publishing collection Editions Hermès Sciences Publication and co-directs a business review, la Revue Française de Gestion. David graduated from HEC and Sciences Po in Paris.
Maureen Ravily, Manager
Maureen joined Azao in 2011. After working on technical assistance programs for the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development in Geneva, she worked for a consulting firm specialized in management and innovation. She also ran educational and microcredit projects in Benin, for a humanitarian NGO. Maureen has a Master Degree in Public and Private Management from HEC Business School and Sciences Po Paris.
Stéphanie Senlis, Manager
Stephanie joined Azao in 2017. She has nearly 10 years’ experience in advisory and project management with missions aiming at integrating CSR into corporate strategy for large companies, at Utopies, consultancy specialized in CSR, and at EY, Clean Tech and Sustainability department. She has a strong interest for topics related to social business and innovative solutions to fight against poverty, having worked for 2 years for Emmaüs Défi (back-to-work organization). Stephanie graduated with a Master's in International Affairs from Sciences Po Paris and a Master's of science in Sustainability and Social Innovation from HEC.
Philippe Muheim, Advisor
Philippe has 15 years of experience in consulting in industrialized and developing countries. He has specific expertise on designing and implementing sustainable development strategies, focusing particularly on local economic development, management of natural and man-made resources in rural areas, and engagement of internal and external stakeholders. Philippe has worked for multinational corporations and for national/local authorities. He has an MSc in agricultural engineering and rural economy and an MBA from INSEAD.
Hélène Chenebaux, Consultant
Hélène joined Azao in 2017. After graduating from Paris-Dauphine University in Economics and from the London School of Economics in Social Policy and Development, Helene worked for a social enterprise in Cambodia. She also ran a medical assistance project for BoP population in Rio de Janeiro. As a consultant for Azao, Hélène has been working on market insights studies in developing countries, social incentives strategies and pilot programs in underprivileged areas in France.
Martin-Auguste Bossut, Consultant
Martin-Auguste joined Azao in 2017 after an experience as a Portfolio Analyst in microfinance for the U.S based crowdfunding platform Kiva (NGO). Martin-Auguste graduated from EDHEC Business School with a Msc in Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management. All along his track at EDHEC, Martin-Auguste has had several experiences in different social enterprises in France and abroad.
Pauline Lebas, Consultant
Pauline joined Azao in 2017. She worked during one year as an impact measurement consultant in South East Asia and Africa. She also worked on a research project about entrepreneurship in Senegal and worked on the creation of an incubator in Togo. Pauline graduated from the Master of Sustainability and Social Innovation and the Social Business certificate of HEC Paris.
Constance Huttois, Consultant
Constance joined Azao in 2017. She graduated from Sciences Po Paris in 2016 and has a master's degree in Business Law and Global Governance studies. Constance has various experiences in top law firms and in associations focusing on refugee help and environmental issues. At Azao, Constance works on societal risk management and water stewardship.
Ellen Milnes has a PhD in hydrogeology and a MSc in geology. She is a WASH expert (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) with 20 years of field experience. Ellen managed numerous research and consultancy projects aiming towards sustainable groundwater management. She has been lecturing applied hydrogeology and groundwater modelling at the University of Neuchâtel for over 10 years.
Anne Lamour, External Consultant
Anne worked for as a communications Consultant at Edelman between 1995 and 2002, and at First&42nd since 2002. She first started out at Burson Marstelle in Paris in 1988 in the Business-to-Business department, then in Corporate. In 1993, she joined the agency Mathieu Thomas where she developed environmental programmes and communication solutions for local public authorities. Anne Lamour has a degree from Sciences Po in Paris.
Tatiana Thieme, External consultant
After a PhD on waste and urban sanitation economies in Nairobi slums, Tatiana is now teaching at the University of Cambridge on informal markets and economy. Tatiana has been involved in a series of projects linking low-income entrepreneurs with social business ventures in Kenya, India, Philippines, and South Africa. Thanks to her expertise in geography and anthropology, she actively participated in the creation of the “BoP protocol” methodological framework. Tatiana graduated from Cambridge University, LSE and Cornell University.
Mathilde Martin Moreau, Senior Consultant
Mathilde joined Azao as a consultant in 2013. She has been in charge of designing “Bottom-of-the Pyramid” strategies targeting low-income consumers, from feasibility study to pilot implementation. She has been working with clients from different sectors (energy, FMCG, insurance, etc.). Over the years, she has developed a strong interest in the understanding of the informal sector in emerging and developed markets and notably the bridges to build between informal actors and both the private and public sectors. Mathilde graduated from Sciences-Po Paris.
